Shuich is a nice, gentle soul. He spends most of his days at his forest cottage where he busies himself making perfumes. He occasionally brings them into town to sell. But in his free time he likes reading and gardening. 

He has taken in William and Humphrey, two fennekin kids, as his own.

Journal solo 1

Shuichi lay on the couch resting. His thoughts were a mess at the moment. He had just gotten back home from searching for Humphrey and William. Luckily they had found themselves back home safe and sound. Shu was relieved at this. Long ago he had met them. And they had slowly grown on him. To the point now he had basically adopted them. After all, Will had even started calling him ‘daddy’. Humphrey on the other hand was a little reluctant at first. But thanks to Wil, Humphrey had given in and basically accepted Shu as ‘dad’. He may grumble about it but Shu could tell they both loved him. And he loved them in return.



Shu could only wonder what had happened to the boys’ original parents though. But they never really talked about them. The only thing he knew was just that they were out of the picture. That’s all the information he could get out the boys. Now, by no means, did he think he could be a replacement father. But he still wanted to take care of Will and Humphrey. He shook his head. “It’s ok,” he whispered to himself. “You can relax. They are safe now.” Maybe it would help if he thought of happy things instead. He did some deep breathing and his thoughts drifted again. This time to Timmy.



Shu was glad he had run into Timmy when Will and Humphrey had disappeared. He had been super helpful and comforting. He was good company. And on top of that…he was pretty cute too. Shuichi blushed into a pillow. Timmy had said he’d come back tomorrow and that they’d go on a date. He was going to take Shu to a Garden Park. The leafeon was very excited. He didn’t think he’d get any sleep. He smiled to himself just thinking about it. This would be a chance to get closer to Timmy and find out more about his interests and hobbies, likes and dislikes, etc. And Shu would also get to talk about his perfumes and how he made them and sold them in town on occasion. He was thrilled to bits for this chance. He never thought he’d actually be asked out on a date. He mostly kept to himself. But all that was changing now. Especially thanks to Will and Humphrey. He would have to thank them later. Maybe he’d take them out for desserts or to the movies. Surely they would like to spend some more time with him and have a little fun while they were at it. It was getting late so he would have to ask them sometime tomorrow. But first he had a date to go on.



He went upstairs to prepare himself for tomorrow. He’d take a warm bath and try to go to sleep early. After all, the sooner he would fall asleep, the sooner tomorrow would come. He hummed as he went up the steps and turned to grab a fluffy towel from the closet. As he began his nightly routine he couldn’t help but daydream of all the good things to come.

Learning a New Move ~Aromatherapy~

And each day he was growing braver the more he hung out with Humphrey and William. Being a parent now, he had to be protective of those he cared about. He had adopted them, brought them into his home. And now he wanted to be sure he could keep them safe. Maybe he could even stand to learn a few new moves.  He walked over to his bookshelf and got out a book on Eveelutions and Move Sets. Surely if a trainer could read it and teach their pokemon, Shu would be more than capable of studying the material as well and learning a new move all by himself. 

He was actually confident in himself. Perhaps this boost was due to Humphrey and William too. He has them to thank for the many changes in his life. These positive changes also included a new boyfriend for Shu. Timmy. And boy did Shu want to impress Timmy too. 

His finger scanned down a list of moves leafeon can learn. “Hmm which should I try? Maybe something that can help me with my profession and also work to defend myself with?” He considered his options for a while. 

Aroma therapy?

His eyes kept going back to that. It wasn’t an offensive mood, but if he could help others relax. He smiled at the thought. Even some of his perfumes had that effect. But if he could produce that affect himself, that would be amazing. And to top it off he has been blessed by shaymin. Perhaps the flowers in his hair could be somewhat of lead into learning this move.

He sat on the floor, focusing himself. He did his best to relax and listen to his breathing. In and out. In and out. He kept his eyes closed as he began to sort of hum to himself a song. 

At first nothing was happening. He sighed. But he knew this wouldn’t be easy. So he kept trying. 

The more he focused he noticed a sweet scent. The flowers in his hair had bloomed even more, opening themselves and releasing a calming odor.  It wasn’t a lot at first. Not enough to fill the air. But pretty soon, he was getting the hang of it. 

It would only take him a few hours at most. 

Sitting in his house surrounded by the plants he cared about that helped him with his job, he was finally able to create the pokemon move Aromatherapy. But to be sure, he decided he would test it on something. The first thing that came to mind was to try on something similar to a pokemon with a status ailment. 

Oh! He knew what he’d do. He took some old leaves. He ran them under his faucet until they were damp. He then placed them in the freezer for a few minutes. Pretty soon they were covered in ice. That was similar to a pokemon with the freeze status effect right? He was pretty sure that counted!

He then tried his move on it! And sure enough, the ice began to melt and the plant leaves began to slowly restore themselves. Perfect! He was so proud of himself. Maybe he could really be useful now!
