Updates: 02/21/2014 - Ylerian shows up Ylerian Ivy Name: Ylerian Ivy (formerly Ajibana)Pronunciation (Not exact, as the word said is valerian substitute the Vuh sound for a Yuh sound) Gender: Female Age: Child Weight: Height:Sexuality & Status: Irrelevant at this point Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Brown Type(s): Normal/Fighting Moves Known: Nature: Prissy by nature, tough by training Likes: Training. Looking pretty Dislikes: Being treated as she is since the truth came out about her true father. Being abandoned by her mother. Personality: She was the youngest in her family and adored by her parents until she became a child and the truth about who her father was (or rather wasn't) came to light. Her training became harder, and her "father" stopped acknowledging her save as an unworthy pupil he was forced to endure. She has suffered along in silence since her mothers betrayal became apparent, though her silence is harder to suffer since her mothers abandonment of her. She trains hard to try and earn some measure of acceptance and approval from the one she had until recently thought of (and called) father, only to fall short by a large margin in his eyes, consistently.

Facade (Growth response)
Ajibana Dojo
Hiroto and Akemi. They were the two Pangoro who were the muscle of the dojo the humans ran. They kept the unwanted elements away from the school, kept issues to a minimum, and they were also my parents.
My father Hiroto was much stronger than my mother Akemi, but she was a better strategist, planning out every little move to do the most damage in the fewest amount of moves. Between the two of them they were unbeatable. No one wanted to mess with the Dojo, and that was fine by me. It was a place for everyone to practice, to learn.
I had two older brothers, Kirito and Daichi, and an older sister Hana, all of which were Pancham still, not a one having evolved yet, though we all trained as hard as we could. Being the youngest I was my fathers favorite though he was careful about showing it. Still, I wouldn't have traded my life for anything.
....then I found that thing that changed my life forever...
<Mom! It's Ylerian, come quick!> I heard the panicked voice of Kirito which was unusual he was usually composed and quiet. Daichi tended to over react and Hana...well she was the bossy sort. The two of them were staring at me silently and I looked at them curiously, wondering what they were staring at.
My mother came into the room I shared with my siblings and if a Pangoro could go pale she would have been as white as a Cubone's bone mask! She rushed towards me and jabbed a blanket over the top of my head and wrapped it around me tightly and gathered me close. <Do not say a word of thing to anyone do you understand me?! I'll figure this out!> my siblings nodded and my mother ran from the room with me, all the while talking rapidly under her breath.
I didn't understand what she was saying, or even realize what was wrong. It wasn't until we were out in the gardens that she stopped and set me down and I realized I wasn't as small next to her as I should have been. It was also then I realized my hands looked different, as did the rest of me. My shock was still nothing compared to hers. <Oh Ylerian...I'm so sorry...I didn't know this would happen...I thought I was safe...that you were safe...> <What are you talking about mom?>
She paced uneasily, and finally began to talk. <Hiroto is not your father. Your father is actually a Diggersby I met and fell in love with...it was a stupid thing...and you my Ylerian...you were the result of that affair. I was able to hide this from your father because you looked like a Pancham like the others....but now...not only do you look like one of the humans in the dojo...you look like your actual father.> <Stop tricking me I don't like it!> it was no trick though. My mother showed me my reflection in the koi pond and I screamed in shock.
<RABBIT EARS!? And a tail!?> <I told you...Hiroto is not your father...> she sounded worried. <Wait here. I will find you clothes...and then we'll explain this to him.>
I was scared needless to say, and with good reason it turned out. My father stared at me with a look of betrayal, and turned away from me, denouncing me, and forbidding me from socializing with my siblings. I was impure, unclean, and unwelcome, but due to my age being allowed to stay. It was up to my mother to raise me...
So she started to do so, pampering me in ways I was unaccustomed, dressing me in pretty clothes and doing my hair and stuff, and I discovered I really liked that sort of treatment, but Hiroto withheld his love from her as well as from me, and my mother began to change. She grew quieter, sadder...and one day I woke up and she was gone. She'd left and not taken me with her.
That left me in Hiroto's care...Hiroto. Not father. I was only allowed to adress my siblings by a title, not names, and certainly not as family. Hiroto wanted no reminder I was linked to them in any way. His children. His love and affection for me had warped and twisted and he was three times as hard on me as he was the others...
I vowed to myself to be strong enough to handle everything he threw at me...to be as strong, and tough, and deadly as I needed to be to survive. Even though inside my heart was broken...on the outside I was as tough as steel. I had to be.

Alleyway Confrontations(Ylerian meets Solange, who lends her a hand) Ylerian Ylerian had ran away from the place she'd called home just a few weeks before. She'd worked quickly and quietly to pack a bag with necessities. Plenty of food and water, a few changes of clothes...most of it practical. Only one thing wasn't to her dismay but she was out for survival, not prettiness right now she had to remind herself.
Her other clothes...she packed them up and hid them out on the grounds in a safe spot where they would be protected. Maybe one day she could get them back...but if she left them where Hiroto could find them they'd be destroyed. That done she took her katana, and a couple of smaller weapons and stuffed them in her pack.
The last thing she'd done before leaving though it pained her a bit to do so, was relieve the humans of money so she could survive. Donning black clothing so she'd blend into the shadows she had departed in the dead of night and put many miles behind her.
Now...she was wearing her sturdy clothing, her pretty kimono wrinkled at the bottom of her bag, and she was discovering she was low on food and out of money. This didn't bode well for her and she weighed her options, coming to the conclusion that there was no other way and she'd have to rob someone, simple as that.
So, laying in wait she sprung out at the first person to come down the alley, a low voice issuing the command of "Give me all your money and I'll let you go unharmed." of course she was laughed at. She hadn't brought the katana with her in her hurry...and so looked like a child playing. Great.
Solange Solange kept her hair tied into two loose braids as she ventured out in her resting day clothes. Living with another person had taught her that chores were more than necessary, and so was paying bills. Normally she would have just mailed it all out, but today she had felt like a walk was in order. Some time in the fresh air to clear her head. Most days she slept during the day and worked at night in the loud, thumping strip club serving drinks to sleeze balls, so a normal day felt like a vacation. Solange swung her keys from their loop, whistling a little as she plugged along down the street, making it in time to see a mugging in progress. Or what should have been a mugging. In an instant she gave a snorting laugh. "Oh man, this is too precious!" Looking around to make sure no one else would pop up, she strode into the alley and grinned. "Hey kid, mind if I take a shot?" Solange grabbed a piece of a broken pallette, checked it for nails, and when it was deemed nailless, brought it down over the targets temple. While it wasn't enough to do horrible damage, they were dazed and slumped down in a semi-unconsious state.
Ylerian: Internally she groaned at the new person entering the alley. She was probably with the guy she was trying to steal from, and was going to start yelling at her. In fact she was preparing for this very thing to happen when she was caught by surprise by that question, and her eyes narrowed some as she watched part of the pallet be ripped off as the man spun. ”What the…” nothing more than that got out as the man dropped to the ground in a daze. She couldn’t deny that was effective. Next time she needed to make sure her weapon, or a blunt instrument was used. Then again the woman was a lot taller than her which helped her out. Maybe it could be an attack from above so she could hit on the head. It was an idea worthy of some more thought! Now, she watched the woman warily, to see what her next move would be.
Solange She slipped her keys into her pocket as she rolled her eyes. "Jeez, are you going to rob him, or just keep giving me the stink eye? He's not going to be like this forever, so get your ass down here and get a move on." This kid was obviously some sort of street urchin; what kind, she didn't know and it wasn't as if she cared. Solange wasn't above shaking down someone for cash from time to time, even if she was trying to live on the straight and narrow. Old habits were hard to break. She dug around in his pockets, found the wallet and flipped it open. "Not much here, but it'll do. Check his coat pockets for a cell phone."
Ylerian: Well this was highly unexpected. She hadn’t expect to actually be helped by this woman! Still she moved from where she’d been rooted in surprise and knelt by the guy checking his coat and pulling out something she didn’t recognize not having seen a cell phone before, and set it down and checked his other pockets. There was only a few scraps of paper in the pocket, looking like older receipts…and not much else. She held the phone out to the woman then, because she had no use for a phone even if she knew what it actually was. “Why are you helping me?” words quiet, and curious.
Solange: Solange took the cell phone into her hands, flipped it onto it's face and popped off the back. "Because if you keep up those shenanigans the suits are going to be all over this area. That's going to make work hard for those of us who know how to get our jobs done." When she had the memory card out of the phone she held it back out to the girl. "Take it and sell it on McGuffin street, near the edge of town. Take no less than one hundred for it." She also held out the wallet as well. "You can take the cash, but until you get better at the game stick to cash ONLY. If you learn more then you can take the cards. Right now, that should be all that you need. And try not to kill a lot of innocents, since those are the only the suits will actually give a damn about looking for."
Ylerian This too was very surprising to her but she listened to the woman intently, taking the phone back and slipping it and the money that was being held out to her into a pocket inside her shirt. There was a quick nod as she was told where to sell it. This town was new to her, but she’d figure it out, it wasn’t too hard a place to learn her way around after all. “Thank you for your help. You’ve been doing this awhile then?” She looked back down to the man who was starting to come around a little, and without a word brought the edge of her hand down on the back of his neck, knocking him back out.
Solange Solange gave a little whoop and rocked back on her crouched legs. "You're a fast learner." She slipped the wallet back in the pocket she'd taken it from, and snatched up the piece of pallette before walking it to the garbage bins to dispose of it. "Since I was a Houndour. Well, before I became this-" She did a once over with her hand before tossing the wood in the bin. "I'm better at shakedowns than heists, but either way can pay as much if you're smart." Turning back around to the girl, she cocked her hip, putting one hand on it. "So, whys a kid like you getting into this line of work?
Ylerian “I was taught how to incapacitate when the need arose, so it was simple really.” To her it was simple, and now that she knew just how effective a move it was, she’d have to employ it more often. There was a slight smile of understanding as she explained though she lost the smile as she was questioned. “I was not welcome in the place I called home. My mother abandoned me, and the man who until recently I called father loathed me. It was better to simply leave.”
Solange Taught how to incapacitate? This was no ordinary urchin. Solange quirked an eyebrow, looking at the girl with a critical eye. "So you're a runaway? Makes sense though, if what you're saying is the truth." She knew she wouldn't have been able to stick around either after something like that. "You got a place to shack up for the night?" Solange wouldn't be able to give her permanent housing, but a night wouldn't kill her.
Ylerian “I have no reason to lie. My mother was not loyal to him, and I was the end result. Hard to be welcomed when I am a physical reminder of her betrayal.” The words were said simply, there was no upset to them. It was like saying the sky was blue, the grass was green, or one needed air to breathe. It was an indisputable fact to her mind. There was a slight shake of her head at the question. “No. I just got to town earlier and discovered I was low on both food and money, so decided I should do something about that. This is the result of that attempt.” A motion to the man that was still motionless near them. Her things were not far off, she’d hidden them well, in case she had to flee and return in the night for them.
Solange "Your mother was a naive fool to think that she could hide something like that forever." It may have been blunt, but it was the truth. There was little point in lying to the child, not when she seemed so hell bent on seeing the truth. Solange tilted her head towards the street. "Come on then. You can shack up with me until you've got enough to move on. It's not a palace, but it's better than staying out here."
