Homeless(Uaithne has to find a new home)Ambisagrus, Leucetios, and Taranis were angry. The sky was rent by lightening, rumbling filled the air as the storm drew in closer. The Gods were fighting in the sky. Or maybe that was Zapdos flying over head. Uaithne wasn't certain what was causing the storm, the sounds of rocks clashing together loud in his ears as he peered out of the small cave he'd taken shelter in. Rain began to pour from the sky in waves that beat the surrounding foliage into the ground, flattening it with the force of it falling. It was a bad storm that was for sure. Uiathne settled into sleep despite the loud noises from outside... Though before long a new noise woke him. More rocks clashing, though these were closer, his cave rumbled and rocks began to fall from the ceiling, water dripping in steadily. With a cry he bolted to his feet and ran from the cave just as the ceiling completely caved in. All around him the landscape was different. So much water had caused a rock and mudslide, marring much of the hills..and the valley looked flooded. He needed to find somewhere safe! He couldn't stay in this storm! Uaithne took off at a run, not even looking back at the home he'd been forced to abandon. 217 words

Wishing for a home
He was hoof sore from all his traveling, all he wanted was to stop and rest...preferably somewhere he could settle down for good and call home.
Yet Uaithne had yet to find somewhere that would work in such a capacity. No where called to him to settle and call it home. No where felt safe and secure enough so he walked. He was just glad the days had been sunny. Though today was day three of it being cloudy and finally he needed to find actual food.
So he foraged and as he did he sighed wishing he could find a decent home. Soon.
It was almost no sooner that he made this wish that something shining in the distance caught his attention and he chose to investigate, plodding forward wearily until he found the source of the sparkle. It was just a reflection off the water. Still he lowered his head to drink, enjoying the cold water.
Looking into the clear water he saw something shining and he waded in a little, pawing at it. It was pointy, and shiny. What was it?
He shook his head clear of the water and eased back from the water looking for somewhere to sleep. His weariness had suddenly gotten so much stronger and he needed to sleep. Now.
He found a cushy spot of grass under a high bush and curled up with a yawn, immediately dropping to sleep.

Found (Demeter finds Uaithne and takes him into her home)
The runes she used on occasion were never wrong, she had learned this quite a long time ago. They had foretold the death of her mother, the finding of Dwyn her hummingbird companion…and now they were telling her of another important event in her future. One she did not quite understand but knew enough of what the signs said to know she would not have just Dwyn for company in the near future. That, had been a week ago.
Today she was tramping through the cold and wet, looking for a specific plant she needed to treat a cold she felt coming on and that she was out of in her stores of plants and other foliage and such. A scarf she had made herself was wrapped around her neck and face to block the cold, and as she began to strip berries from a plant she heard rustling nearby and whipped around to look…only to see a young Skiddo boy laying there in the cold shivering away.
The sign from her runes suddenly made sense! With quick movements the scarf was unwound from herself as her vines were extended and moved to the boy so she could carefully lift him as her hands wrapped the scarf around him as much as she could, glad it was extra long. Once that was done, her vines held him close to her body to share her own body heat as she started for home, her eyes staring down at him time and again, the berries and her basket laying forgotten for the time being. She had other things to worry about right then after all.
Looking him over as she walked she concluded he could only be at most fix…maybe six years old. Quite young and all on his own from the look of things. He was skinny and in need of warmth, food and clothing. After carefully tucking him into her own bed, she got to work making a hot meal for him to eat, as well as making sure there was a tub of water for him to bathe in, that she began heating up as she worked on other things. As for clothes, well she would have to wait till he woke up but he could make due in a sheet for a short time if needed. All the while Dwyn did what hummingbirds do and was fluttering around curiously and wondering what Demeter was up to, and who the strange addition to their little home was pausing to land more than once to investigate only to fly back up into the air in excitement as either Demeter, or the stranger moved. Demi worked tirelessly to warm him up, and make sure he would be okay, and it was not until his shivering stopped and stayed away that she allowed herself a chance to sit and rest and just stare at him curiously, wondering how he came to be on his own and where he was of all places. It was a remote area after all.

An injured...Wren? (Uaithne gets new clothes, a nickname, and injuries!)
“Whotchya up to ‘meter?” Uaithne had been living with Demeter for a few days at this point and had taken to the Bulbasaur girl with surprising gusto, shadowing her all the time, and cuddling up close to her for naps and all. It was apparent he had been lonely for a long time at this point, and she had to admit it was so nice to have someone around to talk to, who could talk back! “Trying to make you some clothes little Wren.” “That’s naught how ya say my name ‘meter!” “Well that is not how you say mine Uaithne.” She laughed softly as he stuck his tongue out at her. “Yer name’s hard ta say ‘meter!” “And Wren sounds close enough to ‘Wen-ya’ to be fitting.” “I guess. But why do I need more clothes ‘meter? They’re itchy and catch on things. I don’t like ‘em!”
With a shake of her head she continued to sew him the clothes she had been working on most the day, despite his protests and once in awhile holding them up to him…and before long he was clothed and he grinned toothily. “I like ‘em ‘meter! Not a lot to ‘em and they’re not itchy ‘t’all!” “That was the point. What you were wearing before were quickly made, these should be much more comfortable.” The boy grinned again and hugged her tightly. “Yer the best sister ever De-meh-ter!” he sounded her name out carefully then beamed before he scampered out of their little house with a whoop of delight.
Demeter set about cleaning up their mess when she heard thumping and banging and peered out to see him busily banging away on wood with a rock. What he was up to she didn’t know but he was having fun anyhow. About the time her things were away and she had a light meal laid out she heard a sudden wail and looked out to see him holding a hand to his mouth and blood streaming from his face. Rushing out of the house she saw a tooth laying in the dirt and after prying his hands away a busted lip on his face and his nose bleeding. All over his new clothes.
“Ahm sorry ‘meter. I bessed dem uhp.” “It’s okay Wren, lets get you inside so I can take care of you.” She wished she had some magic way to heal him up. Unfortunately it took time, and effort to heal him up again though the tooth was not something she could save which bothered her. He however found it to be a great source of entertainment and didn’t seem perturbed by it. Before long the last of the bruising and injury faded and the only reminder was the gap in his teeth and the blood that had staunchly refused to wash out of his clothes…that he now wore when he planned to do something he was almost certain would get him injured. Which seemed to be often he pushed those limits.

Sleepy Wren (Growth Response)
Time seemed to pass in a strange and mystical way here in Demeter’s forest meadow. It had no meaning to him just that it happened to pass in the way that it did. While he did not keep track of time, she did as she always had and knew when he had been with her a few days…and a few weeks…and so it would continue to be she was aware. Maybe when he was older he would have a little more interest in keeping track of time.
Uaith was overjoyed by the change he had undergone that left him with a set of arms and hands instead of four cloven hooves. Neither of them knew of the stars that changed them. Just knew something strange and mysterious had transpired. Still, now that he had this new body he felt like he could run faster, and even longer. He was able to sustain himself both with sunlight which was generally in abundance unless raining, or food and so he felt energized longer. He was growing into a wild, brazen boy who was enamored with his world and wanted nothing more than to experience it in the way only young children can.
With a little help from Demeter he had constructed a swing in a nearby tree using thick vines she had collected elsewhere for him, and hung it up in the branches and he would launch himself at them and begin to swing about with a whoop of delight as Demeter, balancing on that delicate edge between childhood and being a teenager watched with indulgent smiles. He brought her a happiness she had not realized she had needed. Brought laughter to a previously dark and lonely life. It was more than a little nice to have him here she had come to realize and this was something she did not want changing any time soon if she could manage it.
That night marked his first full month there and she realized that the slight pang of sorrow for her mothers death was even more lessened now that she was no longer alone. In the bed that night, Uaith was sleepier than usual and cuddled up close to her an arm draped over her stomach as he began to doze off. She had just shifted to blow out the lamp that was lit when he spoke sleepily. “You’ll let me stay forever right ‘meter? You won’t make me leave? I like it here with you, and being able to build things. I couldn’t do that before.” “No Wren, you don’t ever have to leave unless you want to.” “’kay good. I like it here ‘meter. I like not being alone anymore. I was happy to wake up and see you.” She hugged the boy close and he snuggled close with a sleepy smile. “Love you ‘meter.” “I love you too little Wren. Sleep now.” Her fingers brushed through his shaggy hair and his tail thumped lightly against the bed as he dozed off.

Junkyard Encounters(Wren meets Kyllian) Kyllian: The junk yard was great! Or at least, it was to Kyllian. Since it was warmer out today than it had been, he’d ditched the thermals he usually wore with his costume and drug a little wagon behind him. Everywhere he looked others may have found nasty, grimy junk; scrap that was worthless beyond its years. To him, all he could see was gold. Grinning, he kept his bright eyes on the lookout for the perfect piece to add to his collection. If he could just… “Oh wow, is this…? It is! Haha, looks like I’ve got a new bed!” A perfectly good pair of beat up bed rails were half hidden underneath a pile of torn metal. With just a little elbow grease he knew he could get them ship shape in no time at all. Once he did, he’d take that bed, and put the one in his room in one of the other two rooms, just in case his friends ever decided to stay over. Rolling his shoulders, Kyllian parked the wagon and started shifting the metal on top out of his way.
Uaithne: Uaithne had showed up at the junk yard ages ago and he had a steadily growing pile of stuff he’d set aside to go through properly. For now it was just stuff that had caught his attention. Finally he unearthed himself from a pile of junk that had slid onto him a bit ago, erupting from the center with a triumphant cheer as he held a slightly rusted hammer above his head. That would be helpful for his new little workshop he’d set up.
Demeter had told him all his banging and stuff was noisy and made it hard to think let alone rest! So he had been in the process of making his own little haven where he could build, but the hammer he’d been using…nothing more than a rock…had broken on him, and he’d had a hard time finding anything else that was sturdy enough. That and he’d needed materials! He heard the clatter of metal not far off and he tensed, wondering if it was another junk-alanche!
Kyllian: Kyllian hefted a large chunk of an old motor out with nothing, but his raw strength alone, and paused when he heard what sounded like a shout. The tyrunt turned around, expecting to see someone freaking out about a kid lifting something that heavy, ready to explain it away on Poke’mon strength and finding…no one. He furrowed his brows, and after pulled the bed rails out, he strapped them down on his wagon with some old twine before seeking out the sound. “Hello?” Kyllian called out, tentatively poking his head around the piles of scrap metal and junk. It was then that he spotted something fuzzy somewhat close to him. Was it another torn cushion? ….Maybe he could patch it with tape! With an almost giddy run, he banged his way closer, and found himself slightly disappointed to see it was another boy. “Aww, man, I thought you were a pillow.” Taking a deep breath, he exhaled and stood a little taller, a little smile growing. “But, forget about that, were you the one who yelled out? Did you find something good?”
Uaithne: Uaithne could see out of his mop of unruly, often unbrushed hair easier than Demeter seemed to think…so he could see quite clearly the fact he was being charged at! He took up a defensive stance, wielding a piece of pipe he’d found only to blink and drop it to the ground. “A pillow? First I’m a salad…now a pillow….what is wrong with folks?”
There was a roll of his eyes and a shake of his head as he tried to make sense of how others could keep mistaking him for things he wasn’t. Though he gave a nod at the question. “Found me a hammer! Was that you making the metal move? I thought another pile of junk was about to fall on me.” He rubbed at a red spot where something had hit his upper arm and left a mark and not much else. He gave a toothy grin to the older boy then. “What’re you looking for? Maybe I’ve seen it!” well he’d been digging for awhile now!
Kyllian: Kyllian pulled to a quick, hurried stop and held up his arms in surrender. "Woah! Easy there, kid, I ain't gonna hurt ya, just curious, is all." Sheesh, were all the kids he met weird, or was it just him? "A hammer? That's cool, and yeah, I found some bed stuff." He motioned to the bed rails on his wagon, still unwilling to put his hands down so long as the other kept that pipe aloft. "Sorry bout that, though. Didn't know anyone else was here. " Kyllian shifted, his tail going with him. "House stuff, mostly. Trying to get a place set up so I don't hafta ask around fer stuff, ya know?"
Uaithne: The rusty pipe was dropped to the ground and he wiped the reddish color left on his hand onto his kilt with an absent thought behind it. “Yeah my rock I was using broke, so I needed a new one. Bed stuff?” he peered around the other boy and eyed the metal with a grin. “That’ll be fun to work with I bet.” He could see the possibilities really. “S’alright normally not a lot of people here. Hmm…anything else you’re looking for? My sister has made everything we need for our house, and shown me how to do stuff. Maybe I can give some help?” why not? He liked tinkering!
Kyllian: "I thought so too. Think I'm gonna make my own headboard, though. Make it really big and cool, you know?" He wasn't exactly sure how, but anything was better than taking money from Hewitt. "Hey, yeah, that sounds like a plan. I'm not really sure what to start with, so maybe you can give me some tips?" Maybe this kid could help Kyllian figure out what one actually DID with a house once they had one. He wanted his to be as nice as the ones in the magazines, but it was a lot harder than books make it out to be!
Uaithne “Headboard?” Uaith blinked a moment at the unfamiliar word, looking at the other kid curiously. “What’s one of them?” it sounded strange! “Well…lets see…’meter and I, we have some beds…she made them from leaves and branches and some super soft stuff…not sure what it is but it makes our beds so squishy. …and then there’s the blankets she made us…” he rolled his eyes up in thought, though this was hidden by the fringe of hair over his eyes. “We have a table she made from an old log…” what else was there? It was hard thinking of it, he was so used to seeing it every day!
Kyllian: "It's like...that big piece of wood or metal at the end of the bed where you put your head." As he spoke, Kyllian moved his hands around to make the motions as best he could. "Super soft..moss? Did'ja use moss for your beds?" That was something he'd done when he was still a Poke'mon, in the woods, but he hadn't slept on moss in so long...maybe it was time for a change. "Oh hey, yeah, a table!...what's that?"
Uaithne: “Oh…I’ve never seen either of those things. Sounds kind of cool though! Impractical with an all natural bed like what I have though….and I think it might be moss! And some sort of plant fibers or something. She’s really good at that sort of thing.” He had a proud note to his voice talking about his sister! “A table is where you set things…like your plate of food to eat, or other things you don’t want on the floor. I’m sure people have them from things that aren’t old logs but I like ours!”
Kyllian: Kyllian stroked his chin, and nodded, contemplating an idea forming in his head. "Hey, do you think she'd help out with the house? I could cook for you guys; I can't pay you, but I've got a lot of cool scrap stuff you could go through and I may really good food." Okay, so, he could thus far only cook waffles, but at least they weren't burnt anymore. "I think I might like one of those. I had a bunch of stuff in the house, but I kind of broke a lot of it on accident, so I'm starting fresh." Meaning he'd either bitten through, trampled on, or outright destroyed it. A dino-Poke'mon, no matter the age or size, in a house was a bad combo. "Can you help me make one?"
Uaithne: His eyes widened at the prospect of a scrap pile to go through and he grinned. “I’ll ask my sister. I bet she’d say yes though she likes helping people! Where’s your house anyhow?” he knew she didn’t venture far from home, but was sure she’d make an exception to help someone out. “Really? Sure! I helped make the one we have at home too, it was a lot of fun. You can probably find bits and pieces here to make one out of metal if you wanted even.” The idea made him grin again. Oh this one was a fascinated little maker.
Kyllian: Kyllian grinned, his little fangs flashing. "Great! It's the last on on Elm Street, not too far from here, actually. It'll be the only house without a car in the drive way." And a whole bunch of scrap metal in the open garage, but he was sure this kid would be able to figure that out once he got there. "I like that alot. What if we made it in a circle, that way there's no edges for people to walk into?"
Uaithne: Uaith filed that information away for when it would be needed, nodding. Fortunately he could read and write, Demeter had taught him, though he didn't know how she knew. She seemed to know a lot though, so it was natural to him. "A circle...I like that idea! Might take a bit of work, and would have to be filed just right so it was still more rounded than sharp...but it'd be doable!" he was gesturing excitedly, then paused. "Oh! I'm Uaithne!"
Kyllian: Kyllian tossed up a thumbs up, with a self-assured grin. "Just gives us more time to tinker around!" Which was why he liked longer projects; they let him really pour all of his energy into it. "Nice ta meet'cha, Uaithne. My name's Kyllian. Now how's about we go looking for those parts, yeah? Daylights a wastin' and I'm eager to get started."
Uaithne: "Sounds good to me! I've been digging through the piles over there, but I think it's time to go looking in a new spot here." he beamed at the other and shouldered his haul. "Lets see if we can't find something to use for a table for you!"
Kyllian: Kyllian nodded, looking at his new friend. While not exactly what he'd expected to happen today, he wasn't about to look a gift Ponyta in the face. So, gussying up his bottoms, he grabbed for the handle of his wagon. "Let's do this!" And off he lead through the mountains of untold treasured scrap.

Make your house a home (Uaithne & Demeter help Kyllian around his house) Uaithne & Demeter Uaithne had burst back into the home he and Demeter shared, excitement eminating from every pore as he dropped his haul in the middle of the floor, ignoring her exasperated words of how someone would trip over it. He instead explained in a rush about meeting Kyllian and how the two of them had been invited to his place to help him making it more home like.
This was met with a worried look from the bulbasaur girl who finally nodded in agreement. The stones had been mysterious lately, talking about new sights and all. Perhaps this was it. So the next morning they set out, with the Skiddo boy taking the lead, Demeter following along and pausing apprehensively at the forests edge. She hadn't left it...ever so this was frightening.
Wren slipped his hand into hers and gave a tug pulling her from her momentary worry and he continued on the way, following the directions he'd been given and smiling proudly. "This should be it!" with a crow of delight he scrambled forward and pounded on the door far louder, and harder than was needed making Demeter cringe a little. She felt so out of place here in the city!
Kyllian Kyllian had stayed up late into the night trying his best to tidy up his home. It was haphazard at best, with more things being shoved under the couch and into closets than actually being picked up, but hey, it was out of the way, right? When he awoke that morning he even bathed! With his hair still damp, Kyllian dressed in his Roman attire and set about fixing waffles, and setting out breakfast foods for his guests. They were coming soon, right? He had all of his things moved around in the garage, which was far more organized than any one room in his home, and even cleaned for Uaithne to look at. Demeter though…what did girls even LIKE? He knew Chloe, but she was weird, so he was sure she didn’t count. Hearing the knock at the door, he grabbed up a tall stack of waffles and skidded towards the front door, plopping his food haul into his free hand first. “Coming, coming!” Kyllian opened the door with a flourish, his waffle stack swaying. “Good mornin’! Glad ya could make it. Breakfasts almost ready, but if ya wanna go ahead and dig in I’ve got plenty.” He stepped back, allowing them entrance.
Uaithne & Demeter Demeter was taken aback by the boy who answered the door, blinking at his clothing, and the fact he was…..well a dinosaur! Wren hadn’t mentioned that at all, but then he did have an unusual obsession with tinkering and all so maybe it was no surprise to her that he hadn’t paid much attention to how the other boy looked. The waffles were eyed curiously as well, what were those? Uaith was less timid in his asking. “Those smell amazing Kyllian! What are they? Never seen anything like ‘em before!” he was bright eyed and looked ready to dig in…to some pieces of metal but he was being patient which was amazing as far as Demeter was concerned. “Oh! Kyllian this is my sister Demeter, Demi this is Kyllian the kid I met at the junk yard.” “It’s nice to meet you Kyllian, sorry if Wren’s a little..excited.” a little was an understatement.
Uaith stepped in snagging his sister by the wrist so the door could be closed behind them, and the pair looked around for two separate reasons. He, to see the “cool stuff” that was around, and her to get a better idea of the space she was to help make feel more home-y.
Kyllian Bolstered up by the reaction to his fine cuisine, Kyllian grinned. “Waffles. Didn’t I tell ya I’d feed ya, or does all’a that hair block yer ears?” He chuckled. He moved over to the couple of boxes he had been using as a table. Arranged as they were it wasn’t so bad, even had some seats made of mix-matched chairs. “It’s nice to meet you too, Demeter.” Smiling at the Bulbasaur, he patted a chair, his best actually, and motioned to the food. “I thought it’d be a good idea to work after getting a bit ta eat. Fraid you guys are in for a lot more work than you know.” There was sparse furniture in the house, most of which Kyllian had made himself. The only actual store bought things were in the kitchen, and that was mostly because he couldn’t figure out how to make a pair of tongs to save his life. The interior had potential to be a nice, if not most, three bedroom home, but with Kyllian…the whole thing was a junkers paradise. He moved to the kitchen for a couple of glasses and came back with a pitcher of ice water. It was weird…being around a girl that actually LOOKED like a girl. She sure was a lot daintier than Chloe, and she didn’t whine half as much. Though, he hadn’t known her for long, so he was on his toes. “So, what goes in a house?”
Uaithne & Demeter Uaithe grinned at the older boy and charged inside a little further sister in tow and blew his hair out of his eyes. “Nope I hear fine just never seen anything like those in our house.” Demeter looked to the motioned to seat and sat with a nod eying the waffles curiously. Indeed she’d never seen such things and they smelled really good. Looking around his home again Demeter smiled. “Well, most of this can be easily used to make your house, just in different ways than you have it. I think houses here in the city are different than the one we have in the forest though. You have more stuff than we do.” She sounded thoughtful as she spoke, trying to come up with a few different decisions mentally of what things could be used for. Uaithne, was still bright eyed as he took a spot at the table. “Your house is amazing from what I’m seeing…sooo much stuff!” he was almost bursting with excitement!
Kyllian Kyllian set out some plates and forks for them before seating himself. He grabbed up a couple waffles, put them on his plate, and reached for the syrup. “Well, if yer gonna eat waffles, you should do it with syrup or that fruit there. Maybe both!” Just to make his point, he grabbed a few pieces of strawberries to add to his. His stomach was doing flips, and he could have eaten the whole spread, if it wouldn’t look back on his guests. “Oh, so it’s just a matter of turning it around, yeah?” He could do that. Slicing off a chunk of waffles, he chewed it down quickly. “You think this is a lot, wait til you see the garage! I don’t know what humans use it for, but it’s my shop and I’ve got all kinds of stuff down there.” Tamping down his excitement, he looked around a bit. “Well, the main thing I want to work on is the bedrooms. I have a friend whose trying to live on her own, but I have a lot of room here, but not anything to make her feel…welcome, I think. If ya could help me make her feel at home I would surely appreciate it.” He hated knowing that Chloe was sleeping in the woods, especially as she was now. She had to be cold, and he’d seen the way she scarfed down his waffles. Why couldn’t she just accept his help? And Kole, the poor Pumpkaboo was probably in some pie by now.
Uaithne & Demeter The pair watched as Kyllian dumped syrup and fruit on his syrup and they followed suit, Uaithne plowing into his food with a happy note…he’d eat anything it seemed even when he didn’t have a need to. But he did seem to be seriously enjoying those waffles! Demeter took a bite and chewed thoughtfully a bright smile on her face. “These are really good! Do you think you can teach me how these are made? I think Wren will enjoy having these more often.”
There was a nod from her however. “More or less. Such as I think a lot of this can be used for other things more effectively than they are now…and I’ll do my best to help in the bedrooms, again this is all different than what I’ve grown up in.” and yet slightly similar in a way. Of course his kitchen was rather baffling to her, never having seen such a thing before! She took another few bites of food enjoying it more than mere words could express. This was probably the best thing she’d ever eaten! “Demi’s real good at making people feel welcome, I’m sure she’ll be able to make your friend feel comfortable here! I dunno what a garage is…but yours sounds so cooooool!” Demi was glad to see the young Skiddo with a new friend, and sounding so excited. This was definitely good for him!
Kyllian Kyllian nodded his head. Truth be told, he just used the machine, but he did have something for the stove to make them. "Of course. It's really simple to make them, and you can even add berries and other things to the mix to give it some flavor." His were plain, but then, he hadn't known what the others would even like. Still, they seemed to be enjoying them well enough, which was a good sign! "Hey...I don't know that I've thanked you yet, but thanks for coming, Demeter. I know this is a lot to ask of ya, but I really would appreciate any kind of help ye can give." Finishing off his plate in a matter of minutes, he sat back and rubbed a hand on his stomach. "You don't know what a garage is? Well, I know where we're going first! I'll let you look around out there while I give Demeter a tour of the place."
Uaithne & Demeter Uaithne looked pleased to hear Demeter wanted to make these waffles at home, it was an amazing new food and he didn’t know if he wanted to go without now! “Thank you Kyllian I appreciate it.” “Me too! These things are so good!” he finished off the one on his plate and reached for a second…and scarfed it down to Demeter’s near horror. He was eating quickly, and rather messily…but she didn’t say anything as he beamed at her. She looked to Kyllian again and smiled “It’s my pleasure to help. This is new for me I admit. Don’t think I’ve ever been out of the forest, so the city is a little intimidating.” It was! Uaith nodded his head in excitement as he waited on Demeter to finish eating so the tour and all could begin. Fortunately, it didn’t take her much longer to be done and he was leaping to his feet.
Kyllian "Wow, really? I'm really envious of you, then! I'd much rather be out in the forest, but things turned out different for me." He smiled, but Kyllian didn't want to. The boy really did want to just run for the hills most days, but he was too bull headed and proud to admit when he was scared as hell about his own life. He just had to make the best of it, somehow. Hopping up to his own feet, he motioned around, "Well, this is the living and dining rooms, very nice, yes, and through this door through the kitchen-" He walked through the tiled room and opened said door, revealing a garage full of spare parts and scrap metal. -"is the garage." He had some tools as well, if you could find them underneath all the stuff.
Uaithne & Demeter “I don’t know that there’s much to be envious about. It was just what my mother thought was safest for me. We were from a small area where I was very different, and seen as something to do with witchcraft. So she left to protect me. It’s a quiet life in the forest though.” And it had been lonely until she’d found Uaithne. The pair eased to their feet, Wren’s dark eyes looking around at everything in quick spurts, whereas Demeter looked at everything in a slower pace, getting a better feel for things. Though peering at the garage she couldn’t help a soft laugh. “You two are a lot alike it would seem….and he won’t mess anything up being in here?” it was a valid concern knowing how he could get!

Though peering at the garage she couldn’t help a soft laugh. “You two are a lot alike it would seem….and he won’t mess anything up being in here?” it was a valid concern knowing how he could get!
Kyllian As Kyllian walked, he kicked up his feet, hands clasped behind him, just above the thick base of his tail. "Witchcraft? I don't know much about magic and the like, but if you had anything to do with it, I agree that you'd need to be protected. Someone as sweet as you should be watched over, ya know?" And somewhere in his mind, a switch flipped, letting him know that yes, she was something he was going to protect as well. Looking into his garage, Kyllian grinned proudly, puffing a bit with pride. "Nah, it's a lot of fun going through it and sorting them, so feel free to dive through it if you want!...Except don't, cuz you might get hurt."
Uaithne & Demeter “The people in the small village were…misguided. They were very superstitious people. I apparently changed in the middle of the night and my mother left as soon as she realized it. I never realized anything was wrong till I was a little older.” A soft smile given to Kyllian, a slight blush at the whole ‘watched over’ thing and she shook her head. “I’m alright on my own Kyllian.” “And what am I to yah? Chopped liver or something? You’re not alone now!” there was an annoyed huff from Uaithne and Demeter chuckled. “Okay I was alone until I found Uaithne.” “And now I look after things!” Demeter gave him a soft smile, looking amused. He was a small Skiddo, young obviously, it was easy to tell who took care of who but she let it slide.
He let out a disappointed “Awwww “ at being told not to actually dive in, though he rushed in eagerly to start looking through with murmurs of “This could be useful….and this….oh and I bet we could do something with this!” “You…are going to have a hard time convincing him to come home with me.” She was amused really!
Kyllian "I'm starting to realize that about you girls." It was the same response he'd gotten from Chloe after all, and it made him impulsively reach out to give her a light little ruffle on her head, then just as quickly flip the hair around to look decent again. "You're in charge, Captain Uaithne! Protect the forest princess by order of King Kyllian of the House Kingdom." He placed his right fist over his head, and the other on the small of his back while standing stock still. That is, before he laughed and went lax. "It's fine. If he wants to come back, he's more than welcome to. It gets lonely here by myself, so a little company from time to time is nice. So, while he's here, how about I give ya the tour, huh?"
Uaithne & Demeter “Aye aye sir!” Uaithne gave a snappy little salute with a random scrap of metal before he was back to digging and setting it aside in a pile. “A tour would be nice. So you’re on your own here? I’m sure he’ll love coming to visit you and not just for everything in there. I’m sure having another boy for a friend will be good for him too.” Oh most definitely good for him. He’d have someone he could relate to with this whole tinkering thing!
Kyllian Kyllian led the way back through the kitchen to the dining room and living area, where a set of steps led to the second floor. "I was a fossil for a while, so I'm not...normal. Dr. Hewitt brought me out, but we don't see eye ta eye on most stuff. I was gonna stay in the forest, but then I changed, so I had to come back." He scuffed his feet on a step, curling his nose. It hadn't been pleasant, it still wasn't, and he wanted to tear his hair out because of it. "S'not important though, not like the here and now. I'm glad Uaithne's here, too. Some day I'm gonna find my friend Kole and we can all hang out like boys are s'posed to. Course, ye can come too, and Chloe, when I talk her into coming around. Bit backwards, that one." Climbing to the top of the landing he held his arms out. "Three bedrooms, two bath. " And everyone empty with white walls and white carpet except one, which had a matress, some clothing and a bureau.
Uaithne & Demeter “A fossil?” she listened with interest as he explained that to her, interested as could be. She hadn’t heard of such a thing before so it was more than a little mind boggling! “Well I don’t know….I live in the forest even though I changed too, but I always lived there.” So maybe that was the difference there. “It’s nice you have so many friends. I have Uaithne…and I met an eevee girl once…and now you. It’s pretty quiet where we live in the forest. We’re pretty deep in.” all the safer that way really.
Looking at the bedrooms curiously she stepped into his getting a feel for things. “This is nothing like I’ve ever seen. Remind me to have Uaithne show you to our home some time…” she smiled at the idea of Kyllian seeing their rather simple home. “I’ll do what I can for you…it might require I bring things, or send things with him.”
Kyllian He gesticulated as he spoke. "A Poke'mon, then a fossil, then a Poke'mon again, then this." Kyllian motioned to his mostly human form. "Ah, see, I like mai friends, but I wished I lived as far back as ye. It's weird, but I missed sleepin' on the moss." It felt more natural to him than the solid walls around him. He was dry now, yes, but what did that take away? Kyllian stood back to allow her to investigate the place. "I'll have to remember to bring something nice to eat when I come." He smiled. "Thanks fine by me. If you need me to find anything or gather up something to help you, I can do that too. Don't feel like it's all on yer shoulders. I'm a big kid; I can do a lot of the hard work!"
Uaithne & Demeter “That’s…definitely a confusing way to go about things.” She gave a wry smile at the notion that he was…in a way…quite a bit older than her! “I may have to make a few trips myself. Make a few things back home…but I think I can help you. I’m good at sewing so I can make blankets and stuff for the one bed, and I can help make other beds. Probably not as comfortable as yours there, but they’re still nice.” Oh yes, with moss and other what not the beds were soft and fragrant and pleasant! She beamed at Kyllian. “Don’t worry, we’ll make your house into a real home!”
Kyllian "Blankets huh? Hey, that sounds like a great idea." Though he wasn't sure how her blankets or the things she made would look, anything made by hard working hands, claw..things could be great. "I trust ya, Demeter. In no time I'll have a real home here, thanks to you two. Now, how about we go check in on Uaithne, huh? See if he's gotten swallowed up or not." Beaming, he headed off back downstairs.
Uaithne & Demeter “Some pillows…and who knows what Uaithne will end up wanting to make for you. He was saying something about making a table on the way here.” She followed him back to the Skiddo who was sitting there working with some of the stuff he found, and he looked up with a grin. “I’ve figured out how to make this lamp work for you!” oh yes, the tinkerer in him was hard at work and she laughed. “Need a hand?” “No, no I got this I think…” he beamed at the pair in the doorway looking pleased as punch, and Demeter gave a content sort of smile. Sure being here in the city was a new…and somewhat scary experience for her, but it was turning out to be a good one, and one that the Skiddo had obviously needed. She had a feeling as he grew, he’d not want to stay in the forest with her, and that dimmed her smile a little, but she shook that feeling away. She knew the breach in her solitude was temporary when she took him in after all. Who would want to live in the middle of no where with her if they had a choice after all?
Kyllian Kyllian whooped, tossing his fist up with the cheer. "That's awesome! Keep up the good work." He worked his way into the garage, past pile after pile of scrap until he came up on his own little work station. It was mostly organized, if only by a touch. He hung his cape up on a hook, reached for a pair of crude screw drivers and turned back to the hoard. "All right, time to work on a table. Whose with me?"
Uaithne & Demeter Demeter waded into the garage with the pair of them, looking around with a sort of lost expression on her face. This wasn’t her usual sort of thing, but…she was more than willing to help! “I’ll do my best to help you out…” “We’ll take it easy on you ‘meter since you usually don’t mess with this sort of stuff.” Uaithne set the lamp aside carefully and moved towards Kyllian. “This place is amazing. So much better than the little place I set up…but it keeps the noise out of the house.” And he gave a sheepish laugh. “I was sorta loud and messy inside before.” He cracked his knuckles in anticipation and Demeter made sure her hair was up and even managed to pin the hem of her skirt up some so it wouldn’t snag. She was as ready as she could get for this learning experience.

Sisters! (Demeter's sudden over protectiveness drives Uaithne nuts)
I just don't know what's gotten into Demeter in the last week but suddenly I can't sneeze without her hovering and making sure it's nothing worse than the dust tickling my nose or something, honestly. Something has her jumping at every little sound, and refusing to let me leave our home to go to my workshop. Instead she just sits there looking at her stones and cards and fretting away about whatever it is she cans see in 'em.
I want to tinker! This just isn't fair!! She still goes out to gather and stuff but makes me stay here. Why!? I don't get it and she says I'm too young to understand! I know something is wrong and I hate not knowing what it is, what has her on edge! If something bad is going to happen I should be told! It affects me too!
ARGH! SISTERS! Why does she have to keep me cooped up inside?! I want to be outside and working! I can't have her in my workshop the noise bothers her, and having her hovering bothers me and I can't focus. I sure hope whatever is going on goes away soon so life goes back to normal!
It's been weeks now and it's just not getting any better I hate to say. I think she's losing it. I can't bring it up, she gets this really worried expression on her face, and acts like she has to protect me. I wish I was big enough to protect her, she needs someone to worry about her, not someone to worry about.
She's been alone so long though...and by choice. I don't know how she'll ever find someone to care about her, to worry about her and to keep her safe. I know she's older than me and knows better, but still...
Something needs to change. Either me getting big enough to protect us both so she won't worry so much, or someone else finding us, or something I just don't know. I just wish that she wasn't so worried about...whatever it is, that's bothering her. That she would tell me what the issue was, but no she's insisting on treating me like a child and its driving me up a wall.
Maybe I can build something to help her feel safer, I don't know. If only I could get out to my workshop so I could work. Though I don't know what I'd make for her. Still if she keeps staring at those stones, or cards I might just have to take those away from her awhile no matter how mad it'll make her at me. I can handle her anger, if she can even get mad. I've never seen her raise her voice, just be worried lately. I don't know if she's even sleeping well at this point. I'm worried.
I'm worried, and stir crazy and cooped up...and I need fresh air and sunshine and argh. I don't know what to do, or how to do it. Hopefully this blows over soon, I don't know how much longer this can go on before one of us cracks.

Wren learns Leech Seed
Finally, freedom! Nothing like finally being allowed outside after so long stuck inside without proper fresh air and sunshine. It had been wonderful to step outside and soak up the sun after so long. it was the lack of sunlight that was getting to me I know, and I think 'meter finally figured it out and that's why she let me out of the house.
So glad too. I collected some stuff and tinkered a bit and now I'm wandering around scouring for more materials for building and also for some stuff to take back home with me. Though I found this neat magazine, with an article on a pokemon move called Leech Seed. I've been studying the pictures for awhile and I think I got it figured out. I know I've been practicing anyhow and I have the movements down and all, now to make sure it works right. That'll take an opponent to face though and I don't much want to get into any sort of a fight that'll justify her worry about things going bad.
It'd been awhile since this worry hit her and nothing's come of it, I think that's the main reason she let me out of the house, so that's nice. And now I have this neat magazine that has all these moves. There's another one I want to look over once I get this one down pat. Take down I think it was called.
Right now...I'm trying to get better at sending a seed floating through the air to attach it's self to the target. I need to get better at the whole targeting thing, that's a little bit off at the moment and only hitting where I want it to a little over half the time. So that means I need to work on my aim. I'd hate to use it in the middle of a battle and be rushing only to have it lodge into a tree or something. Last thing I need. Not that I expect it to ever be of any use, or to be in any sort of a fight way out here. That whole living in solitude thing. Still, I think once I get it learned up right and proper and can launch it without fail all the time, I'm going to tell Demeter, and make her proud.
Maybe then she'll stop worrying all the time, I can tell she still is, even if it's not as much as she was before. I don't think either one of us would have our sanity still if she was still worrying like that. For now though, I think i'd better hide my magazine out in the work shop and head back home before she comes searching for me, it's getting dark and I have a ton of stuff to drag to the shop and home both. Plus, I'm getting hungry. I don't know how long I've been here practicing but the sun sure was higher in the sky than it is now. Geez. Where did the day go?
