Huǒ Matsutta
- Pronunciation(s): whoa maat-syoo-taa
- Meaning, Given Name: 火, fire in Chinese
- Meaning, Surname: He takes the name from his clan, the village, the mountain, their god (Jocosus Matsutta)

- Sex, Gender, Pronouns: Male, male, he/his
- Stature: wiry
- Skin/Hair/Scales: Being Shiny, he has red fur that has a magenta cast to it. His skin is light-tan, and after he evolves, areas of "blue" will actually be a purplish hue.

- Nature: Bashful (てれや shy [reserved])
- Summary: Not quite taciturn, he does speak a bit less than others, especially when it comes to his opinion. But understand that he definitely does have an opinion, and it may be surprising. He is good at following orders, and chooses not to be a leader. He would rather spend his time in other ways.

- Overview: A chimpanzee-like pokemon with orange (or red) fur and tan colored skin, and a red patch on its bum where fire burns when awake. It is speedy and agile, and a strong fighter for its size.

- Species: The Chimp Pokémon
- Habitat: Rocky ledges and cliffs in the tall mountains of the Sinnoh region.
- Diet: Assumed an omnivore
- Height: 1′08", 0.5 m
- Weight: 13.7 lbs., 6.2 kg

Behavior: Agile and able to scale sheer cliffs and navigate small ledges. A strong fighter, it is full of vigor and high spirits.

Behavior: Social, it lives in groups. It's strengths include speed, sp atk and atk; a natural fighter, in other words, which has a penchant for attacking from above.

- Overview: A primate with its own flare for martial arts, its flame is said to never go out.

- Species: The Flame Pokémon
- Habitat: Probably the same as monferno and chimchar
- Diet: Probably omnivorous
- Height: 3'11", 1.2 m
- Weight: 121.3 lbs., 55.0 kg

Behavior: It practices its own style of martial arts that uses all of its limbs (including the tail). When it fights, it enshrouds itself and its moves in flame. Its speed and agility are unrivaled. It will take on any opponent.

- Japanese Name: ゴウカザル, Goukazaru; 業火 gōka (hellfire or inferno) and 猿 saru (monkey/ape).
- English Name: Infernape; inferno + ape.
- Pokémon Origin: A monkey and ape, possibly with elements of Sun Wukong from Journey to the West, or a Vanara, monkey-like people in the Ramayana, named Hanuman.
- Trivia: Species name, "Flame Pokémon," is shared with Charmeleon, Charizard, Flareon, and Kanto Moltres.

Raging Fury (だいふんげき Great Infuriation): Level-65 Fire-type physical attack with STAB bonus and 100% accuracy. Getting back to his roots, he spins and spews fire from his mouth, doing so for 2-3 turns before dizzying himself out and falling over, confused. Move may be disrupted by various states, such as sleep, paralysis, etc.

Calm Mind (めいそう Meditation): Level-58 Psychic-type status effect move used on himself. With a deep breath he calms himself and raises Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage each.

Acrobatics (アクロバット Acrobat): Level-52 Flying-type physical attack with 100% accuracy. This is when battle becomes a beautiful, vicious dance. Power is doubled when not holding an item.

Close Combat (インファイト Infight): Level-36 Fight-type physical attack with STAB bonus and 100% accuracy. Close-range attack without defending himself. His Defense and Special Defense will be lowered by one stage.

Flame Wheel (かえんぐるま Flame Wheel): Level-13 Fire-type physical attack with STAB bonus and 100% accuracy. He cloaks himself in fire and rushes the opponent. This can thaw him if frozen before (possibly; 10% chance) burning the opponent.

Mach Punch (マッハパンチ Mach Punch): Level-? (learned at evolution) Fight-type physical attack with STAB bonus and 100% accuracy. So fast his punch lands first while glowing bright blue.

Fury Swipes (みだれひっかき Fury Swipes): Level-15 Normal-type physical attack with 80% accuracy. He takes a good strong swipe for between 2-5 turns.

Ember (ひのこ Sparks): Level-7 Fire-type special attack with STAB bonus and 100% accuracy. He spits out a couple of embers that catch the opponent on fire. It has a 10% chance of inflicting burns.

Starting Learnset
Scratch (ひっかく Scratch): Level-1 Normal-type physical attack 100% accuracy. Just because he has nails instead of claws, do not underestimate the sting of a scratch. No secondary effects.

Leer (にらみつける Glare): Level-1 Normal-type special move with 100% accuracy. This move lowers the Defense stat by one stage, of all adjacent foes. It's hard to take the adorable chimchar's glare seriously, but as a monferno he's become much better at it.
