Swinub is a piglet-like pokémon that both looks like a baby boar and acts like one. It can be found rooting around for food or hanging out at hot springs.

- Habitat: It prefers frosty weather, and can be found in ice caves, the mountains, and tundra.
- Diet: A specific kind of mushroom, and Berries.

  Physiology
- Overview: Swinub is a swine type pokémon with shaggy, striped fur and a powerful sense of smell.
- Height: 1 feet, 04 inches / 0.4 metres
- Weight: 14.3 pounds / 6.5 kilograms

Behavior: Swinub's nose is tough enough to dig through frozen ground, but sensitive enough to detect food. It lives in cold climates, but has a knack for finding hot springs.

Piloswine

At level 33, Swinub evolves into Piloswine, a mammoth-like pokémon that is easily identified by its large shoulder hump and short tusks made of ice.

- Habitat: Like swinub it lives in ice caves, mountains, and tundra.
- Diet: Undisclosed; possibly roots, vegetables, and mushrooms.

Physiology
- Overview: Piloswine is in some ways like a mammoth with its great humped back and tusks, but it is rather small by comparison. It has trouble seeing clearly through its great mop of shaggy fur, so it relies on its sense of smell and sensitive ears to get around. Its tusks are made of ice, and therefore can change size and shape depending on the weather.
- Height: 3 feet, 07 inches / 1.1 metres
- Weight: 123.0 pounds / 55.8 kilograms

Behavior: It digs around in the ground for food. If instigated, it may fight, and those tusks are dangerous.

This final form in the Swinub family is achieved by Piloswine when leveling up while knowing Ancient Power. It seems to be a cross between an elephant and a baboon (at least it does to me).

Level 15:
- Ice Shard: Ice-type, Physical Attack with STAB bonus. Flash-freezes chunks of ice with a gusty breath and hurls them at the foe. Always goes first. Replaces Mud Slap.
